SOMETIMES ACCIDENTS, QUIRKS OF CHEMISTRY, time and pressure can produce wonderful, unexpected results—as in this extra ghost-like photographic image produced over time by 75 to 100 years of being closed. This fits my collecting focus perfectly. An unexpected beauty!

A ghost.
what a beautiful (and unexpected) effect! now i want to head home and go thru all my old photographs, looking for ghosts. :)
beautiful indeed, a monotype print ghost
You do find some treasures.
I havea a number of old books that have this effect and I love it too. I tend to like the ghosted image better than the original!
