NANNA BISP BÜCHERT WAS BORN IN 1937 in Copenhagen and lived in Reykjavik until 1958. Returning to Denmark, she studied archaeology for several years at the University of Copenhagen and then became a professional photographer from the beginning of the 1970s. Most of her photographic work takes the form of theme-oriented series, like this one entitled Fish and Fringes (1985 -2000).
