Letter Perfect Seating

SOME 10 YEARS AGO IN DESIGN SCHOOL, DUTCH GRAPHIC DESIGNER Roeland Otten had an idea to make a set of chairs in the form of letter forms. Today, with help from Fonds BKVB and Materiaalfonds, he has made finished lacquered prototypes of all 26 letters. Otten is trying to find a manufacturer to help him produce the chairs in plastic for worldwide distribution. I think they are fun and worthy of production. Qlocktwo (Barada Nikto)

CHECK OUT THIS COOL CLOCK WHICH POSTS WORDS instead of the figures, and certainly does not use those oh so primitive ‘hour and second hands.’ So analog! The time in this clock is indicated by a bank of LEDs. The clock, called Qlocktwo, was conceived and produced by the German store Biegert and Funk, and is designed to change the time every five minutes. It’s available in several languages and will cost you over $1,000 to hang one in your home, loft or business.

A VERY COOL CONCEPT BIKE, made almost entirely of wood. Though a product concept, I liken this to a surrealist work of art, something Duchamp would have liked, no doubt.
