THIS IS THE ART OF ADAM SIMPSON. His imagery is highly complex and this makes for some compelling work. I see Adam’s work as having the detail of M.C. Escher and the visual inventiveness of Milton Glaser. High accolades, I know, but if you take the time to study what his work is doing, what it is about—you will see what I mean. Even details of his work has “details.” This year Adam was included in the Art Directors Club “Young Guns” Awards— and I can understand why. Watch for this guy!
His bio follows:
Adam Simpson studied at Edinburgh College of Art and the Royal College of Art. His work encompasses design, animation and illustration - always with a strong emphasis on drawing.
Adam has contributed to major exhibitions and book fairs in London, New York, Edinburgh and Bologna, as well as numerous Japanese art museums. His work has been short listed for a British Design Award and in 2009 he was included in the prestigious Art Directors Club “Young Guns” awards.
He has also lectured on art and design degree programs in the UK, including the University of Derby and the University of Plymouth.
Other experiences include a placement at Rhode Island School of Design and the painting of a 60-ft. mural in his hometown of Leicester, England.
Adam now works from his studio in North London on both commercial and self-initiated projects.
