A Very Fine Lady

THIS UNUSUAL, ODD CABINET CARD recently sold on eBay. You won’t see many as odd as this in this genre. This is rare, indeed.
This reminds me of some current fashion designers who have a penchant for completely covering the model's face. I wonder if the photographer did this as a way of experimenting with lighting or developing techniques?
