2001: A Space Monstrosity
THE FIRST TIME I HEARD THIS I ALMOST CRAPPED MYSELF LAUGHING. Created by high school students for a performance, listen for the herd of stampeding elephants at the 0:54 point.
This is hilarious, but I'm pretty sure it's not actually schoolchildren, but rather the Portsmouth Sinfonia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portsmouth_Sinfonia - a sort of deliberate orchestral travesty. Their recording is virtually identical, think someone uploaded it to Youtube as kids for a laugh. :)
i usually don't laugh out loud at things on the internets- but this was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI tried to warn you!

ReplyDeleteAhhhh-- thanks Kateri, I appreciate it. I will check out the Portsmouth Sinfonia—and thanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteMy wife teaches bassoon and once in a while that's what I get to listen to.
