I SPOTTED THIS ON EBAY THE OTHER DAY. It’s a hand-tinted photograph of a paint brush display back in the 1950s. I love the primary colors, the type, and especially the “cityscape” skyscrapers at the top and sides. Also, I did a quick check, and Baker brushes are still being made today.
Wow, nice find.
ReplyDeletefun! how come advertisements, store displays, packaging was so much more fun back then, John?
ReplyDeleteI think we like the packaging and displays back then because they weren't so sophisticated and slick. Store displays and sales promotion today is slick. Photoshopped. This design I showed has a "retro" charm to our eyes today.
ReplyDeleteGood store display is important for attracting new people to your store & good display can play key role in increasing your sales and display you shared is good.
