And Hilary, I once saw a Van Gogh painting of an artichoke that I had to walk away from when I realized it was small enough to fit in my purse.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15671965875944032395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8425056644549146833.post-58891852726282322902010-06-11T08:09:54.193-05:002010-06-11T08:09:54.193-05:00That would indeed be amazing. Just yesterday, I recalled to a friend the time that I was in a small art museum in Hamilton, Ontario where they have one Monet (a real beauty) and one van Gogh. The latter painting was not even close to being a favourite of mine but I was suddenly struck by the fact that such a master's artwork was just a few inches from my nose. Before I really thought about what I was doing I found my finger touching the canvas.. just for a second. And I felt connected .. just for a second. Luckily, security was minimal being a small setting and no person or camera took note. I knew it was something I shouldn't have done, and it really was more reflex than thought.. but I'm still glad I did. Thanks for sharing these.Hilaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12787493532006658679noreply@blogger.com
